PROVIDED BY FINDORFF
1200 North Street, Rib Lake, WI 02.20.2026

The corridor has been cleaned and is ready for the grand opening.
What's Happening?
The time has finally come! Construction on the new Rib Lake gymnasium has officially come to a close. This week, the school district, community, and trade partners gathered in the new gym space to attend the grand opening and ribbon cutting for the addition. During the ceremony, District Administrator, Travis Grubbs delivered a speech, followed by remarks from one of the RLSD senior basketball players.
After the official cutting of the ribbon, the community took part in self-guided tours to view historical images displayed in the corridor and to experience the new space while asking questions about its features.
Even though the addition has been completed and turned over, the work does not stop there. The crews on site are now shifting completely into phase 3. This phase consists of transforming the old gymnasium into a new band room. Also included in this phase, the other half of the existing gymnasium will be updated into an improved PAC, which will also double as the new lunchroom.
|

The new trophy case made for a fantastic place to put historical Rib Lake photos. In the coming weeks, the background of this case will be updated with a section of the old high school gym floor.

The completed reception desk is ready for the staff to move in.

DID YOU KNOW?
The telescoping bleachers ,that were installed in the new gymnasium, not only improve the seating quality compared to previous seating systems, but they also help conserve space in the gym. Because the bleachers are constructed with a series of interlocking frames that can slide together, the system on the south side of the gym which seats over 580 people, can retract into a stack that protrudes less than 4 feet from the wall. This minimal storage size allows for much more of the gym floor to be used for gym classes and other activities.
