A concrete pump was used for the pouring of the addition corridor slab on grade.
What’s Happening?
On site at the Rib Lake School District, structural work has continued on the addition with the corridor slab getting poured and the precast panel and planks getting erected. The restrooms, concession stand, and janitors closet have all been poured along with the corridor, providing all the following trades and nice hard surface to work from.
In the Middle School, the locker room masonry walls are moving right along with the masons wrapping up the final few walls. In addition to the locker rooms, the split joists have been installed in the new office and the concrete slab has been poured back for the restrooms.
The High School has also progressed with the wood shop receiving paint and the kitchen and FACE room getting floors abated.

The ceiling height masonry walls have been completed in the Middle School locker rooms.

Did you Know?
A concrete pump truck contains a large mechanical arm used for pouring concrete. These trucks use a hopper that concrete is dispensed into, to pump the concrete through the long arm and directly to where the operator wants it. Pump trucks offer many positives when pouring concrete, such as faster dispensing times in hard to access locations, more precise concrete placement, and even many safety benefits.
