The masons have begun to the lay the concrete masonry units on the south wall of the addition.
What’s Happening?
Work on site over the past few weeks has continued with a lot of concrete work taking place. All footings and foundation walls for the west, south, and east sides of the addition have been poured and had forms striped. Masonry work has also started work with the concrete block walls in the wood shop. Those walls have been completed, and the masons have transitioned to setting block on the south face of the new addition. Along with the work on the addition continuing, in the next few weeks, crews will move inside of the middle school and start work on demolishing the existing locker rooms and wood shop.

Did You Know?
As we begin to back fill around the footing and foundation walls on site, the plumber has been installing drain tile with a filter sock. Many modern construction drain tile systems include a filter fabric or “sock” which comes wrapped around the perforated drain tile pipe. The purpose of this sock is to filter out any dirt and debris while still allowing water to flow into the pipe and be drained.
