What’s Happening?
The construction journey has begun recently as the concrete work on the addition has started. Over the past few weeks, the excavator has stripped away the existing site and dug trenches for our wall footings and foundations. After the trenches have been dug for the addition, the workers on site began forming and pouring the footings and foundation walls with the west and south walls getting completed. The next few weeks will include more concrete as we continue moving to the east and eventually north sides of the addition. Site utility work will also ramp up with sump crock and drain tile getting installed soon.

The west wall footing and foundation has been poured.

Did You Know?
Concrete footings are so strong that a single cubic foot of concrete can support over 3,000 pounds. That is roughly the weight of a small car sitting on a block of concrete the size of a milk crate! This incredible strength is why footings are essential for keeping buildings stable and safe, especially when dealing with heavy loads or tricky soil conditions.
