The goal of Rib Lake Elementary Physical Education is to get students active and improve their skills in a variety of basic movements and skills. We are active throughout the 25 minute class period, starting as soon as students walk through the door with the fitness warm up. There are so many ways to be active, and so many ways to have fun!

Modified game of volleyball. Students try to throw the ball over the net, on to the ground in bounds, while the opposite team tries to prevent the ball from hitting the ground. Make sure to pass twice before the ball goes over the net.
Rib Lake physical education offers opportunities for ALL students to be successful and have fun, regardless of physical ability. RLPE promotes physical activity and the importance of being active EVERY DAY! Each class starts out with a fitness warm, many times incorporating the skills we are currently working on in class. Skills are then developed, leading into a variety of team and individual games and activities. Students learn the importance of physical activity, are taught about leadership qualities, teamwork, sportsmanship, all while having FUN! Above you will find pictures from the 1st quarter of the 2015-16 school year.

Stunts & Tumbling
Rib Lake Elementary students participated in Stunts & Tumbling for 2 weeks in February. Students worked on various tumbling movements, including rolls, cartwheels and various animal movements, along with stunts and balances on their own and with a group. Safely participating in Stunts & Tumbling improves balance, strength and coordination!

Witches Tag - Watch out for the 4 students wearing the witch hats holding broomsticks! If you are tagged, you turn in to a Frankenstein and must go to the pumpkin patch and do some pumpkin exercises to get back in the game!
