The ACT Aspire is an early high school assessment for grades 9 and 10. This assessment measures what students have learned in the areas of English, Reading, Math, Science, and Writing. The ACT Aspire scores predict how a student will perform on the ACT.
As part of the high school assessment, all 11th graders are required to take the ACT plus Writing. This assessment measures students in the areas of English, Reading, Math, Science, and Writing. Scores from the ACT assessment can be used for college admissions.
The Wisconsin Forward exam is designed to inform students how well they are doing in relation to the Wisconsin Academic Standards. The exam measures students in the areas of English Language Arts and Mathematics (grades 3-8), Science (grades 4 & 8), and Social Studies (grades 4, 8, &10).
The Phonological Awareness Literacy Screening (PALS) is a research based screening, diagnostic, and progress monitoring tool. Wisconsin teachers use PALS to identify students at risk of developing reading difficulties, plan instruction, monitor progress, and diagnose students' knowledge of literacy.

Assessing Comprehension and Communication in English State-to-State (ACCESS) is designed to measure English language proficiency. The assessment aligns to English Language Proficiency Standards that form the core of Wisconsin's approach to instructing and testing English language learners.

The Dynamic Learning Map (DLM) assessment is used with students who have the most significant cognitive disabilities and cannot take the regular Wisconsin Forward exam. Students are measured in the areas of English Language Arts adn Mathematics (grades 3-11), Science (grades 4 & 8-11), and Social Studies (grades 4, 8, & 10).
